Technical background
My technical experience comes from owning, restoring, maintaining, and operating privately owned recreational boats—not from employment as a professional Marine Technician.
I learn methodically: I read manuals, research before acting, ask questions, study diagrams, and respect the knowledge of experienced technicians. I am comfortable contributing where I have practical familiarity and seeking direction when a task goes beyond it.
Experience enough to contribute.
Humility enough to learn.
Familiar with
Hands-on exposure developed through private vessel ownership and projects. These areas are presented as familiarity—not certification, mastery, or advanced diagnostic expertise.
I do not present myself as a professional Marine Technician, Engineer, certified electrician, surveyor, or advanced diagnostic expert.
How I work
Listen to the operator, inspect carefully, and identify the symptom before touching the system.
→Consult manuals, diagrams, service information, and the experience of qualified technicians.
→Confirm the system, task, risks, and limits of my competence before proceeding.
→Work carefully, cleanly, and within instructions using the appropriate tools and procedure.
→Recheck the work, test only as directed, and make sure the area is safe and orderly.
→Record observations, work performed, parts, photos, and anything requiring follow-up.
Owner projects / practical experience
Restoration and maintenance projects performed on privately owned recreational boats.
Across more than twenty years of serious recreational boating in South America, Javier planned and completed hands-on projects while also working alongside specialized marine contractors. The work developed practical judgment, respect for proper procedures, and an owner's concern for reliability, cleanliness, and follow-through.
Project photography is not currently included because no verified historical project images are available in the website library.
